Gary Trudeau, the creator of Doonesbury, has worked with Slate.com to set up a military blog (milblog) known as The Sandbox. If you want to have a peek at the life of our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, visit The Sandbox here.Â
Trudeau has done a great service to our troops by providing them a way to communicate what it is really like to be in combat, and the writers have responded with writing that ranges from gritty to poetic. Check it out.Â
